Ewoks Layouts

In 1985, I worked on the Star Wars spin-off cartoons - Ewoks and Droids. There were 12 episodes each. I started on the Ewoks show for 3 episodes (it started production first) as a Junior Layout assistant. My job was to take the rough layouts by the Senior Layout artist and clean them up. When Droids production began after episode 3 of Ewoks, I switched crews and became a senior Layout artist. The main reason I switched over was because I hated drawing trees. We had a quota of 10 layouts a day (50 per week) each show had about 350 scenes.

This was the very first layout I did for Ewoks. The senior layout artist insisted that everything be labeled (even though it was obvious what it was).
